![]() ![]() Hand ability that allows Link to attach to any hard surface like mountains, trees and even enemies.Make it a rune/hand ability with stamina cost like many here have said. Yeah, i hope it returns and combines hookshot, clawshot and grappling hook in one. Also grappling hook + hang glider = magic. That's just my idea but I'm not a game designer so maybe you have better ideas. It would help the game still feel like BOTW without it feeling like it's Spiderman. ![]() #ZELDA BREATH OF THE WILD HOOKSHOT ZIP#I think this way, the player still has to move about the world utilizing the climbing mechanics in the early to mid-game but over time as they get more powerful, they are able to zip around using the hookshot more often. It has a long cool down but you can get upgrades to wear you can use it consistently near the end of the game. Personally, I would make it a mid-game item/ability (maybe you get it after 2 or 3 dungeons). Make it a late game ability or item where it can be expected that the player has enough stamina that making it up to high areas isn't really an issue anymore Make it an ability with an extended cool down so it cannot be spammed That way you to consider its limited number of uses and you must plan accordingly #ZELDA BREATH OF THE WILD HOOKSHOT HOW TO#Building off the exploration features in BOTW, we can probably expect some new ways to travel in the sequel.Īssuming Nintendo wants to keep of focus on making the player learn how to navigate the world with their limitations, I think are three ways Nintendo could implement the Hookshot in BOTW2. With BOTW 2 in development, do you think the Hookshot or an something equivalent will make its return? We do know that the Hookshot was considered for Breath of the Wild but it was not implemented because would circumvent the new climbing system. It was last scene in a 3D Zelda in Skyward Sword as the Clawshots. The Zelda franchise of course has its iconic Hookshot, although Wind Waker had both the Hookshot and a traditional grappling hook. ![]() Halo Infinite was recently released with the grappling hook being one of the standout improvements to the franchise. We can only hope, and wait, and replay Breath of the Wild for the umpteenth time.Grappling hooks make most any game better. Aonuma said that he was interested in revisiting multiplayer, after all. Therefore, players have speculated that the new game will start in Zora's Domain with Zelda as Link's companion and maybe even featured as player two. Doing all that with a new story to motivate Link is all we want.īecause the game's ending dialogue from Zelda suggested a new adventure in Zora's Domain, fans were surprised when the Champion's Ballad DLC had nothing to do with that leading line. Everyone has fun parasailing around, climbing trees, and throwing bombs. That's the thing: fans aren't expecting a crazy new experience entirely different from that of Breath of the Wild. Adding in a few more secrets, maybe some new towns, wouldn't be nearly as difficult as crafting a whole new world. The next Zelda game could easily take place upon the same fields and mountains that we explored in Breath of the Wild in the way that Majora's Mask followed up Ocarina of Time. No one wants such incredible detail in such a huge map to go to waste. ![]()
